The Land Trust of Bucks County was incorporated in 1997 with the mission of protecting and preserving farmland, natural resources, wildlife habitats, biodiversity, scenic vistas and open space in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. We are a regional, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, organization led by a dedicated volunteer board assisted by professional staffing. Nationally accredited by the Land Trust Alliance, we are currently protecting over 5,000 acres on 114 properties in five area townships.
We are forward-looking, working to preserve our agricultural heritage and rural lifestyle for future generations as well as for our current enjoyment and benefit. We work with area townships in support of their open space programs, as well as individual landowners, to acquire conservation easements. We document annual monitoring visits for each preserved property to ensure compliance with easement owner wishes to protect the land they so love. We educate landowners on the economic and environmental value of conservation easements and encourage and assist them to protect their properties.
