What We Do

The Land Trust of Bucks County is a non-profit nationally accredited Land Trust dedicated to the preservation and protection of farmland, natural resources wildlife habitats, biodiversity and scenic vistas throughout Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

How does LTBC accomplish its mission?

  1. A Conservation Easement program in partnership with our municipal partners protects land from further development.
  2. An effective easement-monitoring program ensures that the terms of the easements are being maintained.
  3. A program to enhance biodiversity in the landscape.
  4. An outdoor classroom initiative designed to prepare current and future generations with the task of maintaining and implementing our land preservation ethic.
  5. An imperative to promote local sustainable agriculture.

Preserving land with conservation easements in partnership with municipalities and a well-established easement-monitoring program to ensure the integrity of those easements are the backbone of our program and stewardship efforts.

The Land Trust of Bucks County also realizes that in addition to preserving land today, we must also groom generations of people to continue our work far into the future. To that end, LTBC has initiated three stewardship initiatives, designed to provide current and future generations with the tools, understanding, expertise and ingenuity to continue our mission of preserving the integrity of the landscape.
